UK's Largest Bank Seeking Crypto Expert to Overcome Barriers

One of the UK's largest financial services organizations, Lloyds Banking Group, is seeking a cryptocurrency expert to promote the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

According to the job description, the successful candidate will lead external relationship with Fintech partners and collaborate to progress the development of distributed ledger technology. The candidate will also develop payments use cases and initiate business or investments "orientated around the use of digital currencies."

"Explore investment chances to define our product proposition, write internal communication briefs, and articulate market insights into central bank digital currency, cryptoassets and stablecoins to inform our Group's Payments Strategy," the bank says.

Celsius Leaves UK Over Regulatory Uncertainty

The move comes after Britain's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said that the majority of cryptocurrency-related companies is not complying with anti-money laundering rules. According to the FCA, only five firms registered with the watchdog since January, while 90 have temporary registration. However, the watchdog says this status does not mean the firms are registered completely.
