The Vienna-based cryptocurrency exchange also raised capital from Alan Howard, REDO Ventures, LeadBlock Partners and Jump Capital. The latest funding round brings Bitpanda's valuation at the $4.1 billion mark. Bitpanda plans to use the funding for international expansion and growth.
"We will keep building the team, opening new offices, and launching new products as we design for scale and optimise for growth," a spokesperson for Bitpanda said.
The latest funding round comes less than half a year when Bitpanda raised $170 million in a Series B fundraising round. The valuation already made Bitpanda the first "unicorn" startup in Austria.
