The fan tokens are quite popular on the market. In June last year, Barcelona FC sold out its own fan token (BAR) just two hours after being put on sale. The token allows the team's fans to take part in surveys in order to make some decisions.

The token, which is issued by the club's blockchain partner Chiliz, was sold at a fixed price of $2.25 on the Socios.com platform. The Ethereum-based token generated over $2.5M in trading volume the day after it was sold, while the volume reached $1.3M the day it was launched.
