Indonesian crypto exchange platform Pintu has just announced it has completed a Series A funding round, CoinDesk has reported.

According to the exchange, the round, in which Alameda Ventures, Blockchain.com Ventures, Castle Island Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Intudo Ventures, Pantera Capital and others took part, was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Pintu has raised a total of $35 million, which it will use to expand its staff, pursue strategic partnerships, undertake educational marketing campaigns as well as offer new products and features.

Notably, the company also raised $6 million back in May in a funding round led by Pantera Capital, Intudo Ventures and Coinbase Ventures.

The country is considering a tax on crypto-related profits in response to the growing popularity of crypto assets.
