MakersPlace, a non-fungible tokens (NFTs) marketplace founded in 2018, has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Pantera Capital.

Other investors such as Uncork Capital, Draper Dragon Digital Assets, 9Yards Capital, Coinbase Ventures and Sony Music Entertainment also joined the funding. With the funds, the startup wants to "empower digital creators" with better tools and services:
"From the very beginning, we have always prioritized trust, quality and ease of use for our artists and our passionate collectors and we are only going to double down on these efforts."
Earlier in July, the other NFT marketplace OpenSea also raised $100 million in a Series B funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The latest funding round brought OpenSea's valuation at $1.5 billion and included investors like Coatue, CAA, and Ashton Kutcher.
