Bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) still has a lot of potential to grow higher as the cryptocurrency is likely to hit between $140,000 and $160,000 by the end of the year, Celsius CEO, Alex Mashinsky, told Yahoo Finance in an interview.

He admits that the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is currently facing resistance in the 40,000 to 45,000 levels. However, there is not a lot of resistance above that levels, Mashinsky emphasized.
"So I think we are going to consolidate here and then break to new highs. I still stand by my prediction that this year we will see anywhere between $140,000 and $160,000 per bitcoin," he said.
As of press time, bitcoin is trading at the $39,355 mark. The cryptocurrency gained 2.8% over the last 24 hours and the market capitalization is close to $740 billion. Mashinsky's statement appears after the company left the United Kingdom to the United States.The company behind the project also decided to move to several other jurisdictions over "increased regulatory uncertainty."
