PayPal is actively expanding its cryptocurrency services after it announced plans to roll out its own cryptocurrency wallet in the US over the next few months. According to Dan Schulman, PayPal CEO, the company intends to turn its app into a financial super app like Alipay and WeChat Pay. As a result, it could include investment services, high-yield savings accounts, and check cashing services and other instruments.
Earlier in April, Schulman said the world is going to see more change in the financial system over the next 10 years than it has over the past two decades. The PayPal CEO also said the existing financial system needs modernization as it is inefficient today.
