Tezos, a cryptocurrency-focused ecosystem, has announced the launch of a new grant program that aims to support builders and creators exploring the community. According to a press release shared with iHodl, the programs are designed for different regions and managed with the help of regional ecosystem hubs.

Grant programs' details are yet to be disclosed, however, the company said the requirements will range "depending on geographic considerations." The programs include the following parts of the Tezos ecosystem: Tezos Commons (will offer up to $10,000 to participants in North America), TZ APAC, Tezos India (a $2,000 stipend over the course of the 8-week mentor-led program), TZ Connect, Tezos Israel, and Tezos Africa.

In April this year, Société Générale, a French multinational investment bank, issued its first security token on the Tezos blockchain. The securities were fully subscribed by the bank's assurances.

The bank said the securities demonstrated a new step in the development of Société Générale – Forge, a regulated subsidiary of Société Générale Group, aiming at offering by 2022 crypto assets structuring. The bank also noted that the blockchain enabled increased efficiency and fluidity of financial transactions.
