Ether (ETH), for its part, is down by over 6% at $2,200.92, while binance coin (BNB) loses 5.38% and is now trading at the $303.71 mark.

FxPro's team of analysts says the price reaction is currently not as negative as it could be. However, it is likely that the bad news has not yet played out its full potential, they warned. Earlier, City A.M. reported, citing a source, familiar with the matter, that Amazon was looking to accept bitcoin payments by the end of the year. However, shortly after, a spokesperson for the e-giant denied the news.
