Back in 2018, Wozniak predicted that bitcoin would become the single currency in the future. The well-known businessman also bought cryptocurrency, but soon sold it as he later explained he never wanted to be an investor, but was interested in how the technology behind Bitcoin works.

Wozniak Says Blockchain is a Bubble

Wozniak argued that the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization is the true equivalent of gold, and it has advantages over the precious metal. He also noted that no one person or company operates bitcoin, it "just continues to work, grow and survive."

In 2018 Wozniak suggested that investors expect too much from digital assets, whereas the growth of this industry can be compared to the early days of the Internet. He also suggested back then that investors should cherish their most optimistic forecasts.
