Investment firm SkyBridge Capital has just launched a private fund focused on buying Ether, founder Anthony Scaramucci has told The Block.
The investment company also plans to file an Ethereum ETF with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
SkyBridge Capital filed in March in partnership with First Trust Advisors an application to launch a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund. In May, the regulator started reviewing the application.

The SEC has previously postponed its decision on the application filed by VanEck to launch a Bitcoin ETF. Prior to this, the regulator made a similar decision regarding Kryptoin Investment Advisors and WisdomTree.
For the time being, Bitcoin ETFs have been approved by regulators in Canada and Brazil.
