Cynthia Lummis, a US senator from Wyoming and Bitcoin supporter, has said during an interview with CNBC that BTC should be considered as a way to diversify retirement and long-term savings.
In particular, she said:
"I worry about having all of our retirement monies denominated in US dollars. As part of diversification, having a very diverse asset allocation, you don't have all your eggs in one basket."

The senator revealed she owns about 5 BTC and that the first time she bought the cryptocurrency its price was around $330.
In addition, Cynthia said Bitcoin is "the strongest store of value" in the long term.
However, she has acknowledged her support does not mean that Bitcoin is the only useful cryptocurrency, stating that Ethereum could also have its benefits.
