Cynthia Lummis, a US senator from Wyoming and Bitcoin supporter, has said during an interview with CNBC that BTC should be considered as a way to diversify retirement and long-term savings.

"I worry about having all of our retirement monies denominated in US dollars. As part of diversification, having a very diverse asset allocation, you don't have all your eggs in one basket."

However, she has acknowledged her support does not mean that Bitcoin is the only useful cryptocurrency, stating that Ethereum could also have its benefits.
