Maps.me has reached an agreement to cooperate with cryptocurrency company Circle. As part of the agreement, the offline navigation service will add support for the stablecoin USD Coin (USDC).

According to the press release shared by Circle, Maps.me users will be able to use the stablecoin to make instant payments in more than 35 countries. The service will allow users to purchase and store USDC, as well as the native MAPS token in the Maps.me wallet.

The service recently raised $50 million from Alameda Research, Genesis Trading and CMS Holdings to create a DeFi ecosystem.

In March, Circle introduced a payment solution for trading platforms and NFT providers, and facilitated USDC to US dollar conversion.
