General Motors CEO Mary Barra has admitted the company will start accepting Bitcoin payments if customers request so. In an interview with CNBC, she said:
"There’s nothing that precludes us from doing that. We will be driven by our customers."

General Motors wants to make the whole buying and ownership experience "as easy as possible," Barra said.
Electric car maker Tesla started accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment for its vehicles in March. However, in May, the company stopped accepting the cryptocurrency due to the environmental impact of its mining.
This month, the company CEO Elon Musk said Tesla will resume accepting the cryptocurrency when 50% of its mining is based on renewable energies.
