Fastly, a cloud-based traffic optimization platform and content provider, has suffered a crash in the CDN infrastructure used to store images and other items at large enterprises.

Users on Amazon, Twitter, Github, Reddit and other sites have reported access problems. For example, CSS styles are not loading on GitHub and Spotify, while some of Amazon images are not appearing and Twitter emojis are unavailable.

There are some sites that have directly stopped working completely, such as those of The Guardian, Twitch, New York Times, Vice, Wired and the UK government website.

At 12:57 CET, Fastly has reported the bug has been fixed. However, according to the company, users will still experience some slowness when accessing the affected sites.
