Norton Starts Allowing its Users to Mine Ethereum

Popular antivirus software Norton 360 has started allowing its users to mine the second largest cryptocurrency on the market, the company has announced through a press release.

Cybersecurity firm NortonLifeLock has just launched Norton Crypto, which allows users of the Norton 360 security suite to securely mine Ethereum.

It should be noted that at the moment Norton intends to start offering this feature to some users via invitation starting today. However, the functionality will become available to the antivirus' more than 13 million users in the coming months.

As if that were not enough, Norton has added it intends to add the possibility of mining more cryptos in the future:

"While the company will start slow, with a focus on helping customers safely mine Ethereum, NortonLifeLock is considering adding reputable crypto currencies in the future."

According to the company, the mining will be totally secure because the profits obtained by users will be stored in Norton's cloud wallet, preventing them from being lost if the user's hard drive suffers any kind of failure.
