Coinbase Pro, the division of US cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase for institutional investors, has just announced it has added support for the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin.
In a company blog post published yesterday, Coinbase announces that DOGE transfers started to become available on June 1 (yesterday), with trading expected to begin on June 3 once sufficient liquidity has been reached.
In particular, the announcement states:
"Support for DOGE will generally be available in Coinbase’s supported jurisdictions. Trading will begin on or after 9AM Pacific Time (PT) Thursday June 3, if liquidity conditions are met."

The company executives announced a few weeks ago the exchange might add support for the cryptocurrency soon.
It is worth noting the price of Dogecoin has experienced a 26.16% growth over the last 24 hours and is now trading at $0.412.
