PayPal has plans to add the possibility of withdrawing cryptocurrencies to third-party wallets, the company's vice president José Fernández da Ponte has said at CoinDesk's online conference Consensus:
"We want to make it as open as possible, and we want to give choice to our consumers, something that will let them pay in any way they want to pay. They want to bring their crypto to us so they can use it in commerce, and we want them to be able to take the crypto they acquired with us and take it to the destination of their choice."

According to Fernández, the digital asset withdrawal function is currently under development. He has not specified when the option is expected to be added to the platform.
The payments giant's CEO Dan Schulman has previously said that demand for cryptos has exceeded the company's expectations.
