Marathon Digital, one of the largest mining companies, has just unveiled plans to build a new mining farm in Texas.
According to the company, it intends to work together with Compute North on the development of the facility.
In particular, the farm will have around 73,000 mining ASIC devices that will be 70% carbon neutral. This statement coincides with the recent controversy surrounding Bitcoin mining after the Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the company was ceasing to accept Bitcoins as a method of payment due to the environmental impact of mining the currency.

The farm will reportedly achieve a hashrate of up to 10.37 EH/s at a cost of $0.0453 per kWh.
It is worth mentioning the company's shares have experienced a 5% increase after the news was released.
Marathon announced back in October it was going to do the same at a coal plant in Montana in partnership with Beowulf. Now the plant has turned into a lucrative BTC mining farm.
