Vitalik Buterin Loses Status of Crypto Billionaire Due to Market Crash

Crypto billionaires have lost around $15.5 billion due to the market crash, Forbes reports.

For instance, the fortune of the Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, whom the publication had named as the world's youngest crypto billionaire earlier this month, has fallen from $1.4 billion to $850 million.

In addition, FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is the hardest hit in terms of dollar losses. According to Forbes, on May 10, his fortune amounted to 16.7 billion, however, after the market collapse, it has fallen to $11.5 billion.

Meanwhile, the brothers Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss have each lost $900 million since May 10. MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor's fortune has fallen by 45% to $1.8 billion.

On May 19, Bitcoin lost almost 30% of its value in just a few hours after it was known China has banned banks from offering crypto-related services.
