Revuto, a dApp that allows users to pay for and manage monthly subscription services, has begun a community sale of its REVU token. This public sale follows a successful private round of fundraising. That round raised $1.7M from BlackDragon as well as numerous angel investors who helped Revuto meet its fundraising target in one week.
Revuto Winning the Popularity Contest
Subscription management platform Revuto has drawn intense interest from potential users in the days running up to launch. Over a two-week period alone, Revuto received over one million sign-ups based on referrals.
Attention has been drawn from the crypto community as well as consumers at large due to Revuto’s status as the first dApp released on the Cardano blockchain and its innovative features in payment and subscription control.
Revuto’s community sales of REVU will allocate $5.1M worth of tokens across three stages of sales through the end of May.
Early Bird Round a Success, More Rounds to Come
The first round of sales set for early bird Tier 1 investors opened on May 18 and was set to run for 36 hours. In the event, it closed in 30 minutes after the allocation of REVU tokens was met and the funding cap of $1.6 million reached. Out of 47,000 registered users, 25,300 managed to successfully verify their identities in order to meet KYC requirements and pass on to the next stage of the sale.
Of these users, 4,416 placed orders and 1,934 managed to successfully invest in REVU tokens.
A live event was held on Revuto’s YouTube channel for investors to follow the sale’s progress. This live stream also afforded investors a Q&A with the Revuto team. Participants in the first token sale ever to be held on the Cardano network will receive a commemorative NFT to help celebrate the momentous occasion.
A Tier 2 round of sales began on May 20 at 8:00 UTC, and this round will close after 36 hours. Beginning May 22 at 8:00 UTC, retail investors are invited to join the main event of REVU’s community sale. This sale will continue until the end of May or until allocated tokens are no longer available.
REVU Tokens Changing the Way We Pay
The REVU tokens being placed on sale will be highly desirable assets for those seeking to use cryptocurrency as payment for real world services. For those who could care less about crypto, REVU tokens will be highly desirable for the seachange in financial control they bring to the way consumers handle their monthly subscription services.
According to Revuto’s CEO Josipa Majic:
"In the run-up to our token sale, we’ve received a tremendous reaction not only from the crypto community but from people all over the world that were not necessarily involved with crypto up until now."
The launch of Revuto and the sales of REVU tokens herald a major step forward for the crypto community. The prospect of using cryptocurrency to pay for services like entertainment, household goods and even food means the mainstreaming of crypto as payment is right around the corner.
Since REVU will be a token on the Cardano network, users will be able to easily swap for REVU using their unwanted tokens and then transfer this value into real world products. Using crypto to pay for things like food and cosmetics comes as a godsend for those who have waited so long to put crypto to work, and provides a valuable use case for future instances of crypto as cash.
Revuto Gives Control Back to Consumers
For consumers tired of dealing with a litany of monthly subscription services, Revuto comes as a welcomed relief. By using Revuto’s debit card system and app, users will be able to manage when and how they pay for recurring bills. The app will allow users to approve, deny or pause payments for many of the services they subscribe to in just one app.
One side effect of using Revuto’s app means that free trials for subscription services will no longer be able to lapse into unwanted yearly payments when the free trial ends. Everyone who has forgotten to cancel a free trial or forgotten to read the fine print has been bitten by unexpected charges when the trial runs out.
Using Revuto makes these surprise charges a thing of the past, and putting an end to the free-trial scam is reason alone to stock up on some REVU.
