Ethereum Co-Founder, Vitalik Buterin, said in an interview with CNN that Elon Musk is unlikely to have influence on the cryptocurrency market forever. Buterin believes it is "reasonable" to expect a "bit of craziness" from Musk's tweets on cryptocurrency-related topics as the Tesla CEO joined the market last year.

"I think it's reasonable to expect a bit of craziness. But I do think that the markets will learn. Elon is not going to have this influence forever," he said.

Buterin also doubted that Elon Musk has a "kind of malevolent intent in any of this."

"The fact that he is a 100-plus billionaire and he runs Tesla and SpaceX and all these things doesn't change the fact that ultimately he's a human — and humans get excited about dog coins," he added.

Earlier in April, Elon Musk denied on Twitter that he sold his bitcoins after Tesla liquidated 10% of its investment in bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) at a profit of more than $100 million.

In response to Twitter user Dave Portnoy, creator of the platform Barstool Sports, who claimed that Musk had bought BTC to pump its price and had now sold it, Tesla's CEO said he had not sold a single one of his own bitcoins.
