US banking giant Wells Fargo has just announced it has plans to make the leap into the crypto industry.

According to Darrell Cronk, president of Wells Fargo Investment Institute, the bank sees cryptocurrencies as a "viable investable asset."

Business Insider has reported the bank is in the final stages of incorporating an active crypto strategy for its wealthiest clients.

Cronk has highlighted this new strategy will probably be incorporated into the platform by mid-June.

It is worth noting the assets under management of Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management amount to $2 trillion.

We should remember that recently it has been known that popular investor Warren Buffett has sold 98% of its stake in the bank.
