Alex Sternberg, Vice President at Jomashop, says the retailer is seeing"increased demand for cryptocurrency."
"We are now able to offer our luxury goods to affluent users who prefer to pay using cryptocurrency and serve our international customers where it's easier and faster to pay using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies," Sternberg.
While it remains unknown whether Jomashop is going to hodl cryptocurrencies, the company said BitPay enables businesses to accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment "without having to buy, own or manage crypto." In May, the well-known cryptocurrency payment provider announced support for payments in the DAI stablecoin and wrapped bitcoin (WBTC).
BitPay's clients use cryptocurrencies to solve real-world payment challenges in countries with hyperinflation, said BitPay's Chief Commercial Officer, Sonny Singh.
