Cryptocurrency mining company Bitfarms has just received the approval from NASDAQ to list its shares on the US exchange.

The shares of the mining company will reportedly be listed under the ticker BITF in the Global Select Market section, where shares of other mining firms are included.

It should be noted the shares have been listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange since July 2019 under the same ticker.

Even though it is still unknown when the shares will launch on the NASDAQ, the company has reported it is actively working to "confirm Bitfarms’ common shares are eligible for electronic clearing and settlement through the Depository Trust Company (DTC)."

The company purchased 48,000 ASIC miners in March with the goal of reaching a hashrate 8 EH/s by the end of 2022.
