DeBio Network, an anonymous-first, decentralized platform for medical and bioinformatics data, and KILT Protocol, an open-source blockchain protocol for issuing claim-based verifiable, revocable and anonymous credentials for Web 3.0, have just announced they have joined forces to incorporate KILT Credentials into Debio’s anonymous-first platform for medical and bioinformatics data.
According to the press release that was shared with iHodl, KILT will provide the underlying accreditation infrastructure, enabling this way labs and biomedical facilities to embed credentials on medical test results, genome sequences and interlab collaborations.

One of the most important aspects of Debio’s platform is the fact that it is based on blockchain technology, which guarantees the anonymity of the user data.
In particular, as a result of the association, KILT will be used for issuing credentials to the laboratories performing the analysis, while DeBio will base the credentials of the genome analysis on KILT.
