Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency in the market behind only Bitcoin, has just broken a record.
The price of the asset has surpassed $3,000 for the first time ever, according to data provided by CoinMarketCap. However, as if this were not enough, the coin has maintained its growth and is currently trading above $3,100.
It must be noted the price of the coin has experienced a spectacular growth of 1,400% over the last year, since in May 2020 it was trading at around $200.

Thus, the growth rate of Ethereum has even surpassed that of Bitcoin, which has risen by 550% over the last year, after growing from $9,000 in May last year to the current $58,000.
The rise in Ethereum's price has resulted in its market cap surpassing $337B yesterday, surpassing major companies such as Nestlé, P&G and Roche.
