Popular graphics card manufacturer NVIDIA has limited the hashrate of its card RTX 3060 for mining cryptocurrencies.
In particular, the company has just released a new device driver update (GeForce 466.27 driver), which reintroduces a limit for mining cryptocurrencies on the card RTX 3060.
According to Videocardz, NVIDIA has plans to release in mid-May the new "Lite Hash Rate" models, which will be almost identical to previous versions of the same GPUs.

Apparently, the new cards are identical in all respects, except for the fact that they will have a new PCI Device ID of 2504, designed to render them useless if used with the 470.05 driver update, the one that unlocks the device hashrate.
The company had limited the hashrate of its card RTX 3060 by 50% for crypto mining. However, this limit was mistakenly removed by the company through an update.
Now NVIDIA wants to make amends for its mistake through this new device driver update.
