The REvil ransomware gang, has stolen blueprints of Apple's products from the Quanta Computer supplier, BleepingComputer has learned. The bad actors reportedly want Apple to pay a ransom by May 1. Otherwise, the hackers threatened to sale "large quantities of confidential drawings and gigabytes of personal data with several major brands."

The hackers gang has also demanded Quanta to pay $50 million until April 27, or $100 million after the countdown ends, in the monero (XMR) cryptocurrency.
The Taiwan-based confirmed the attack, but declined to detail how much of its data was stolen. A spokesperson for Apple declined to comment. This is not the first attack of REvil in this year.
As iHodl earlier reported, Acer Inc., a Taiwanese multinational hardware and electronics corporation, also suffered a ransomware attack as the REvil ransomware ciphered the corporation's files and demanded $50 million ransom in XMR. The ransomware's goal was not to disrupt production systems but hit Acer's back-office network.
