Crypto derivatives platform CME Group, which has been offering BTC futures since December 2017, has no plans to launch futures based on the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin, The Block has reported.

A user on the social network Twitter had recently published a tweet claiming CME is exploring the possibility of launching Dogecoin futures.

In particular, user @FirstSquawk posted a tweet in which he claimed that "CHICAGO MERCANTILE EXCHANGE SAID TO LAUNCH DOGECOIN FUTURES."

However, this information has not been confirmed by CME, while several people familiar with the situation claim the company does not intend to launch any such product.
