Dutch cryptocurrency exchange Bitonic said that the Preliminary Relief Judge of the Rotterdam District Court ruled on the case brought by Bitonic against the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).

The exchange says the court agreed with its objections and doubts on the registration procedure and the legality of the digital wallet verification requirement set by the watchdog.
"The judge acknowledged that the wallet verification requirement was indeed part of the registration process, and that Bitonic therefore had every right to object to it," Bitonic said.
While the court did not rule to suspend the requirement, the watchdog is now obliged to take a decision on Bitonic's objections within the six weeks timeframe. The court also ordered DNB to reimburse the legal costs, the exchange noted.
As iHodl earlier reported, the Netherlands-based cryptocurrency exchange filed a preliminary injunction at the court in Rotterdam to contest the DNB's decision of stricter verification requirements over digital wallets.
Bitonic said it did not receive a "convincing answer" from the regulator to the questions it raised on the matter during the registration process in which it was granted to operate as a provider of cryptoservices.
