McDonald's France to Issue NFT Food

French subsidiary of the international fast food restaurant chain McDonald's, McDonald's France, is about to issue its own non-fungible tokes (NFT) in the form of dishes, Decrypt first reported. The company plans to issue several NFTs on Friday, April 9, 2021.

According to a local media named la Réclame, the fast food company will tokenize four short videos with five copies with the help of New York-based agency DDB and upload the NFTs to OpenSea, a marketplace for NFTs.

McDonald's step toward the NFT market Enjin, a blockchain-focused company, raised $18.9 million for a Polkadot-based ecosystem of NFTs called Efinity. The fundraising round was led by Crypto.com Capital, DFG Group, and Hashed. The private sale was also supported by BlockTower, Blockchain.com Ventures, and many others.
