Bitcoin Miners Make More Than $1.5B in March
Main page News, Mining

Bitcoin miners have earned more than $1.5B this month, according to data provided by The Block Research.

It is worth noting this monthly figure is the highest to date, and taking into account that there are still a few days left until the end of the month, miners' earnings could be even higher.

In particular, of this 1.5 billion, $1.36B corresponds to fees for mining blocks (the 6.25 BTC miners receive as a reward each time they mine a block).

To this amount must be added 148 million $ in transaction fees, which are an amount paid by users who send transactions to the network so that they can be processed by the miners more quickly. The higher the commission, the less time it takes for miners to incorporate it into the blockchain.

The first quarter of 2021 is going particularly well for the miners, as their revenues have exceeded $1B during January, February and March. For example, these amounted to $1.36B in February.
