The9, a Shanghai-based online game operator, has signed a bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) mining machine purchase agreement with Bitmain. According to an announcement, The9 will purchase 24,000 Antminer S19j mining machines, which are scheduled to deliver starting from November 2021. According to Wu Blockchain, the deal price is approximately $200 million.

With the latest model of Bitmain Antminer, The9 expects to own an additional hash rate of approximately 2,160PH/s.
As iHodl earlier reported, the largest Canadian bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) mining company, Bitfarms Ltd., also signed an agreement with MicroBT to purchase 48,000 MicroBT miners. The company expects the initial shipment of miners to take place on or before January 2022. Thereafter, miners will arrive monthly with the final mining rigs expected to arrive in December 2022.
