Decentralized finance (DeFi) projects built on Binance Smart Chain, Cream Finance and PancakeSwap, have suffered a DNS hijack attack, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has warned on Twitter. The projects developers reminded on their Twitter accounts they would never ask users to provide the seed phrase and asked users to avoid the websites for now.

The developers also emphasize that users' funds remain safe as the bad actors have not gained control over the smart contracts. PancakeSwap later announced the team regained access to the DNS. However, some users might still be affected, depending on their DNS resolution as some propagation time may be needed, the developers note.
