The company plans to receive a part of the tranche in March 2021, with units arriving every month up until August 2021. With the new mining machines, Blockcap will double hashing power up to 1.9 EH/s. Blockcap CEO, Clark Swanson, says with the acquisition the company takes another step towards the status of the largest mining operation in the United States.

"In 2021 and beyond, we will continue building and expanding our current infrastructure, executing with the highest standards for quality, reliability and efficiency," Swanson added.

Bitcoin mining companies and companies beyond the crypto market have been aggressively increasing their hashing powers over the past few months. As iHodl reported, The9 Ltd, a Shanghai-based online game operator, also bought over 26,000 bitcoin mining devices.
