London-based British crypto exchange EXMO has reported it has suffered a hacker attack.
In particular, according to the platform, it has allegedly suffered a denial of service (DDoS) attack, which has caused the exchange to be down for a few hours.
The platform has shared the following message on its official Twitter profile:

Please note the EXMO exchange website is now under the DDoS attack. The servers are temporarily unavailable.

Notably, the attack comes just two months after the platform reported that hackers had stolen $10.5M in Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, Tether and Zcash.
A DDoS attack like the one suffered by the exchange occurs when an online service is attacked with massive volumes of traffic in order to slow down or stop its operations.
