Poolin to Acquire NovaBlock for Expansion in North America

Poolin.com, a Chinese cryptocurrency mining pool, has acquired mining pool NovaBlock to expand its services in North America. According to an official announcement, NovaBlock's fees will not change throughout the acquisition.

"The effective day will be Feb 8, 2021 and all hashrate will automatically switch to Poolin which will not influence rewards," the announcement says.

With the acquisition, Poolin will get 23 EH of hashrate. As of press time, Poolin is the third Bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) mining pool in terms of hashrate (16.41 EH/s).

iHodl reported in January that cryptocurrency bank Galaxy Digital, founded by the crypto enthusiast Mike Novogratz, founded a new division focused on Bitcoin mining. According to the company, the Galaxy Digital Mining product line includes lending, investment and risk management tools. The Galaxy mining team is located in a data center in the United States.
