Kraken Puts $100K in Coin Center for Industry Promotion

Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced it has donated $100,000 to Coin Center, a non-profit advocacy groups focused on the cryptocurrency market. The exchange wrote in an announcement that the donation was made to Coin Center for its excellent work in promoting research, educate regulators and advance the rights of cryptocurrencies.

Pete Rizzo, Kraken’s Editor-at-Large, says the donation will help educate US lawmakers and regulators "on the transformative potential of cryptocurrency."

"At a time when misinformation about this new technology remains high, we call on all industry leaders to join us in funding this essential work," Rizzo added.

As iHodl reported, Grayscale Investment, a cryptocurrency investment fund, also donated $1 million to Coin Center. Shortly after, the fund added it will put an additional $1 million later in February.
