Hacker group ShinyHunters has leaked the personal data of the users of the Indian cryptocurrency exchange BuyUCoin on a darknet forum, Bleeping Computer has reported.
The database includes names, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, taxpayer identification numbers and bank details of 161,487 BuyUCoin users.

According to Inc42, over 325,000 people have been affected by the security breach. Cybersecurity researcher Rajshekhar Rajakhariya has said hackers accessed the data before September 2020.
BuyUCoin representatives have said user funds have not been affected by the security breach. The team has promised to conduct an internal investigation.
