The website of Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has just been removed from the blacklist of Roskomnadzor, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.

According to local publication Kommersant, the Arkhangelsk Regional Court yesterday annulled the inclusion of Binance's website on the regulator's blacklist.

The exchange's site was blacklisted by Roskomnadzor in 2020, a fact that Binance reported in September last year. Apparently, the court made this decision after finding that Binance had disseminated prohibited information. However, it should be noted the platform could be accessed without the need for VPN tools.

Binance's website still appears on the list of banned sites, albeit without restricted access. Binance is still awaiting court documents on the latest decision, which the company expects to receive in the next two weeks.

Binance has reported the ban, which has been in place since September 2020, has not affected trading volumes. However, the news that the platform's website has been removed from the regulator's blacklist will positively affect the company's reputation.
