Trezor, a popular maker of cryptocurrency hardware wallets, yesterday warned its users about a fraudulent app available on Google Play, the app store for Android devices.
In particular, Trezor has reported the fake app is malicious and has no relationship to Trezor or SatoshiLabs, the company that created the Trezor wallet.
In addition, the company has asked its users not to download the app and never to share their seed phrase with anyone.

Also, Trezor has taken the opportunity to share a short manual about the use of the Trezor wallet with Android in which the company mentions the third-party apps of Trezor, including Mycelium, Sentinel or Walleth, to make it clear that any other app is not related to the company.
The fraudulent application has reportedly been downloaded by more than 1,000 users in spite of the fact that it has 200 reviews making it clear it is not genuine.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time a fake app has tried to impersonate the hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor. Thus, in May 2019 it was reported another fraudulent app had been made available to users in Google Play.
