Since the end of November, the largest cryptocurrency on the market has unsuccessfully tried several times to find a foothold above $19,500. However, things seem to have changed today, as the benchmark crypto has been able to break above the psychological of $20,000.

It must be noted the last time Bitcoin reached this mark was at the end of 2017, coinciding with the rally of the whole crypto market. However, this time the crypto has gone further, as it has even surpassed $20,500.

The current rebound could be somehow related to the fact that two large companies have recently announced significant investments in the cryptocurrency. Thus, the investment company Ruffer has announced that it has invested 2.5% of its fund's assets in BTC, while US company MassMutual, whose investment fund exceeds $235B, last week purchased 5,470 BTC for $100M.
