Nobuaki Kobayashi, the administrator of the assets of the bankrupt crypto exchange Mt.Gox, has just presented a rehabilitation plan after many delays. The announcement published on the Mt.Gox website reads:

"On December 15, 2020, the Rehabilitation Trustee filed a draft rehabilitation plan. The Tokyo District Court and an examiner will review the draft rehabilitation plan and determine whether to proceed with the rehabilitation proceedings relevant to the draft rehabilitation plan."

The plan itself has not been published. Kobayashi has reported he will clarify its details "to the relevant parties in a timely and appropriate manner."

Mt.Gox was declared bankrupt in 2014, and in mid-2018, it was decided to start a rehabilitation process against it. Kobayashi was expected to submit the plan by the end of the same year, however, it has been postponed several times, with the deadline for the last postponement expiring today.

The rehabilitation will allow lenders to receive payments in cryptos. 137,891 BTC are currently stored in the Mt.Gox wallets, which were worth $83M in 2014 and have increased to $2.6B today.
