Bitpanda Co-Founder Eric Demuth says the partnership with the Christian Doppler Gesellschaft, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Digital and Economic Affairs as well as the IOTA Foundation will enable the exchange "to stay at the forefront of interoperability development in order to solve one of the biggest complexities in this young but steadily maturing industry."

iHodl reported in October that the IOTA Foundation entered into a partnership with NEDO, a national research and development agency, to work on a project focused on strengthening the security, longevity, and durability of critical infrastructure assets in Japan and abroad.

The project is initiated by the local maintenance-related companies Best Materia and IMC. With IOTA, the group wants to capture a large share of the domestic social infrastructure conservation market, valued at $1.5 trillion.
