Cryptocurrency exchange OKEx has just announced its users can now withdraw their funds after suspending withdrawals 5 weeks ago following a police investigation.
According to the platform's official announcement, the service has been active since 8am UTC. The news comes just a week after the exchange reported it planned to resume withdrawals at the end of the month.
The platform froze the withdrawals on October 16 due to a Chinese police investigation. Specifically, the exchange reported the founder of the exchange, Star Mingxing Xu, one of the owners of the keys needed to withdraw funds, was collaborating with the authorities in an investigation.
The platform has been preparing for the reactivation of the service, as 0.2 ETHs have been withdrawn from the OKEx wallet before the withdrawals were activated.
