Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk has just become the second richest person in the world, according to Bloomberg. Now Microsoft founder Bill Gates is in third place.
Musk's net worth has increased by $7.2B driven by the rise in Tesla shares. At the close of the trading session on November 24, its price jumped by 6.78% to $523.2. In August, the company's shares surpassed their all-time-high after increasing above $1,800.
Bloomberg has determined Elon Musk's net worth amounts to $127.9B after adding $100.3B in one year. Musk was ranked 35 in January.
The first position is for Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose net worth stands at $182B. Bill Gates' net worth is about $127.7B. In fourth place is Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy president Bernard Arnault with a net worth of $105B, while in fifth place is Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg with $102B.
Musk is ranked fourth in the list of the World's Billionaires by Forbes with an estimated net worth of $110.4B.
