With the acquisition, ConsenSys' users can now access built-in smart contract compilation, deployment, and binary management. The blockchain company claims Truffle accelerated the expansion of the Ethereum and has since grown a dedicated following of developers.

ConsenSys Founder, Joseph Lubin, says the company will focus on Truffle as the product is the funnel for all products of the company and services since nearly all developers begin their blockchain development with the Truffle Suite.

"We are excited about further integrations with ConsenSys’ suite of developer tooling and applications," said Lubin.

As iHodl reported earlier in November, the Reserve Bank of Australia choose ConsenSys as an advisor in a project focused on development use cases for a central bank digital currency (CBDC) with distributed ledger technology (DLT).
