Infura, a provider of infrastructure solutions for the Ethereum network, has collapsed. The developers of the project have explained the API of the Ethereum's mainnet has stopped working.

As a result of these problems, there have been delays on some platforms in the price feeds of Ethereum as well as of the ERC-20 tokens issued in the blockchain of the altcoin. As a result, Binance has suspended the withdrawal of ETH and ERC-20 tokens.

Binance's CEO Changpeng Zhao has said the platform has been forced to suspend Ethereum withdrawals due to "a possible Ethereum chain split at block 11,234,873." He has explained blockchain explorers Etherscan and Blockchair show different chains.

Larry Cermak, analyst at The Block, has said Bithumb, Upbit and Crypto.com have also been affected. In addition, popular Ethereum wallet MetaMask, which uses Infura by default, is also suffering performance-related issues.
