The price of Bitcoin has posted an increase of more than 2% in only 2 hours, surpassing the $14,000 psychological barrier right when a large number of polls in the United States were closing to count ballots.
It should be noted Bitcoin has already been present in 2 presidential elections in the US, registering significant increases both times.
This is the second time in a week the reference crypto exceeds the $14,000 mark. It looks like this increase could be related to non-political factors such as PayPal's decision to offer crypto-related services as well as increased institutional interest.
According to CoinMarketCap’s ranking, 6 currencies on the top 10 are in green.
As for the market cap of all currencies listed in CoinMarketCap, it stays at $393,405,587,494.
